The organisers of the Winter Carnival have once again received great support from individuals, organisations and local businesses to bring the community a wonderful event. Without them it would not be possible to finance or to organise.

Wokingham Town Council have again provided financial support but also play a part in helping to stage the event and offer help on the day.

Cantley House Hotel and Court Lodge kindly allows us to hold our committee meetings in their rooms and support us by advertising in the programme.

The Wokingham Society, Specsavers, www.wokingham.co.uk and St Vincents Vets have provided sponsorship and promotion of the event.

Our thanks also go to The Wokingham Times for all their help in promoting the Carnival and their splendid coverage of the event in words and pictures.

It is estimated that Wokingham Winter Carnival attracts over 15,000 people to the town centre each year. A variety of marketing activities take place to promote the day including

• articles in the local newspaper
• banners around the main roads
• adverts in the press
• inclusion on web based directories
• the popular Carnival programme which is distributed through local service providers, businesses and public places
